Our main goal as an executive recruitment organisation is to ensure that we provide our clients with candidates that have the combination of skills and behaviours that are required to be successful in the role. Over the years we have observed too many cases where skills based assessment has led to a candidate being hired who is ultimately the wrong organisational fit. Accordingly, our focus is on both the skills and behaviours and the interaction of the two, to produce high performance.
Based on the premise that past behavior is the best indicator for future performance, we believe that a key aspect of our role is to identify evidence of both the skills and behaviours. This process commences at the client briefing stage where we seek to identify the key skills and behaviours that are required. Once done, we apply that understanding to the candidate assessment process and link that through by reporting back to the client against the key skill and behaviour metrics.
Evidence of the technical skills are achieved initially via the candidates resume and further qualified through the interview and reference checking process. Evidence of the behaviours are achieved through competency based assessment, psychometrics (when required) and reference checking for further validation.
Our entire consulting base has undertaken an internal accreditation process and are continually monitored and trained for effectiveness in behavioural based assessment. Each consultant is able to work with a customer to tailor an assessment framework which then forms the basis of the candidate interview so as to ensure the required capability, compatibility and potential are present.
